(Tri-Cities) July 14, 2026 More than thirty Tri-Cities Chamber members joined us for an engaging and impactful morning of connection, conversation, and collaboration at our exclusive members-only breakfast roundtable hosted in partnership with Doane Grant Thornton.
The event centered on findings from the recently released 2026 Women in Business Report, which highlighted both the progress being made and the challenges that remain in advancing gender-balanced leadership in business.

One statistic in particular resonated throughout the room: at the current pace of change, gender parity in senior leadership roles at mid-market companies is not expected until 2051. For many attendees, this served as a powerful reminder that while progress is happening, significant work remains to accelerate opportunities for women in leadership.
Following breakfast and networking, attendees heard insights from guest speakers Donna Diskos, Partner, Assurance Services, and Kritika Sohi, Senior Manager, Independent Business Group at Doane Grant Thornton.
Their presentation explored the latest trends in women’s representation in the workplace, the business case for diverse leadership teams, and the opportunities organizations have to create more inclusive pathways to leadership. The conversation then shifted to facilitated roundtable discussions where members openly shared experiences, challenges, and ideas for driving meaningful change within their organizations and industries. The confidential format encouraged honest dialogue and thoughtful discussion, creating space for authentic conversations and new perspectives.

A key takeaway from the morning was clear: organizations that embrace diverse leadership teams are better positioned for growth, innovation, and attracting and retaining top talent. As businesses continue to navigate an evolving workforce, fostering inclusive leadership is no longer simply a social objective, it is a business imperative.
The Tri-Cities Chamber is grateful to our partners at Doane Grant Thornton for bringing this important conversation to our membership and for creating an opportunity for local business leaders to come together, learn from one another, and explore ways to accelerate progress.
Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed their insights and experiences. Together, we can help shape a business community where leadership opportunities are accessible to all and where diverse perspectives continue to strengthen our region's economy.
