(August 2026) TRI-CITIES British Columbia’s local government elections are coming up on October 17, 2026. Held every four years, these elections are an important opportunity to elect the Mayors, Councillors, and School District Trustees who help shape the communities we live, work, and raise our families.
Below, you’ll find links to election information for Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and Port Moody. The city election pages also provide important information for voters, including how to register to vote, advance voting dates and locations, and other key election details.
Local government decisions have a direct impact on our communities, from development and transportation to infrastructure, parks, services, and the overall quality of life in our neighbourhoods.
Voter turnout in the 2022 local government election was relatively low. Only 20.% of eligible voters in Coquitlam, 18% in Port Coquitlam, 31% in Port Moody, 51% Village of Anmore and 75% in the Village of Belcarra.
