(TRI-CITIES CHAMBER) June 1, 2026 The Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce recently launched its first CEO Connect, a new initiative designed to create meaningful, direct conversations between the Chamber and the local business community.
CEO Connect was developed with a simple goal: to hear directly from business owners about the challenges they are facing, what support they need, and how the Chamber can continue to evolve to better serve its members.
For Chamber CEO Jennifer McKinnon, connecting with businesses where they are has always been a priority. Whether visiting local businesses, attending community events, or meeting one-on-one with entrepreneurs, she has long believed that the best solutions come from listening first and understanding the real issues impacting business success.
"One of the most valuable parts of my role is having honest conversations with business owners," said McKinnon. "These discussions help us identify tangible ways the Chamber can advocate, support, and create opportunities for our members."
The inaugural session quickly reached capacity, demonstrating the strong interest from the business community in having open dialogue and direct access to Chamber leadership. Participants shared insights on current business challenges, opportunities for growth, and ideas for future Chamber programming and advocacy efforts.
CEO Connect is one of several engagement opportunities the Chamber has as part of its commitment to being responsive, relevant, and member-focused. Moving forward, the sessions will be held monthly and will rotate between the Cities, giving more businesses the opportunity to participate.
While space will remain limited to encourage meaningful discussion, business owners can look forward to additional opportunities to join the conversation in the months ahead. The Chamber looks forward to continuing these important discussions and working alongside local businesses to help them thrive.
