Community Leadership on Display

(Tri-Cities) April 8, 2026  On April 4th, community leaders, business voices, and local champions gathered at BC Place for a special evening in support of the Sharma Family Fund—an inspiring initiative rooted in the belief that education has the power to transform lives.

In collaboration with Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce Board Member Pulkit Sharma, the Sharma Family Fund, and the Coquitlam Foundation, the event brought together a diverse cross-section of the Tri-Cities community. Among those in attendance were fellow board members of the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce, including Mohammad Darwish, Matthew Sebastiani, Vivien Symmington, Mike Forrest, and Rehini Mirjani, alongside representatives from local organizations and members of the Coquitlam Foundation’s board.

The Sharma Family Fund is built on a commitment to merit, integrity, and opportunity. With a focus on supporting students pursuing post-secondary education—particularly in engineering and health sciences—the Fund reflects a deep investment in the future of our community. By helping passionate students access education, the Sharma family is creating a lasting legacy that will benefit generations to come.

This level of collaboration is more than symbolic—it’s how real progress happens. When business, philanthropy, and community leadership come together with a shared purpose, the result is a stronger, more connected, healthy Tri-Cities.

The Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce is proud to support initiatives like the Sharma Family Fund and to stand alongside members who are committed to building opportunity, investing in education, and shaping a brighter future for all.
