Port Coquitlam (November 25, 2025) A big turnout filled PoCo Bowl last night as Chamber members gathered for our latest Mingle with the Mayor event featuring Port Coquitlam Mayor Brad West.
The Mayor addressed several important topics impacting the community, including the ongoing Kʷikʷəƛ̓əm First Nation land claim. He emphasized the City’s commitment to remaining cooperative and amicable throughout the process, with a focus on finding common ground.
Mayor West also spoke about key infrastructure priorities, including improvements to manage flooding and traffic challenges—particularly in the Fremont Connector and Riverside areas. And, as expected, no Mayor Mingle would be complete without a question about Metro Vancouver.
“Events like this give our members direct access to the conversations shaping our region,” said Chamber CEO Jennifer McKinnon. “We appreciate Mayor West’s openness and his commitment to transparent dialogue on the issues that matter most to our business community.”
His candour, transparency, and willingness to engage with attendees made for an insightful and valuable evening.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this successful event.
