Port Moody, B.C. — The Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce was honoured to host the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority for an in-depth tour of Pacific Coast Terminals (PCT), one of Port Moody’s most vital economic engines and a critical link in Canada’s international trade network.
Pacific Coast Terminals handles more than 10 million tonnes of diverse, high-value solid and liquid bulk products each year, serving as a gateway that connects Canadian businesses to global markets. Its operations not only generate significant economic activity for the City of Port Moody, but also play an essential role in ensuring the efficiency, resilience, and competitiveness of Canada’s import and export industries.
As Canada’s largest port, the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority is mandated to enable Canada’s trade through the Port of Vancouver while protecting the environment and considering local communities. Its ongoing connection with PCT is critical to advancing these goals. The tour highlighted how collaboration between the Port Authority and Pacific Coast Terminals strengthens Canada’s supply chain, supports innovation in transportation and logistics, and delivers measurable benefits for businesses across the region.
By facilitating this visit, the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce emphasised the importance of continued cooperation between industry, government, and the business community to build and sustain the trade networks that fuel economic growth both locally and nationally.
