Committees
The Chair, Stephanie Booth presides over a volunteer Board consisting of herself, three Vice Chairs, Treasurer, the immediate Past Chair, and eight Directors. The Treasurer oversees the finances of the Chamber with an Annual Budget and Statement of Accounts presented at each Board Meeting. The daily administration of the Chamber is handled by staff at the Chamber office.
2010 Standing Committees
Standing committees, which by another name is a permanent committee. Standing committees meet on a regular or irregular basis dependent upon their enabling act, and retain any power or oversight claims originally given them until subsequent official actions of the committee of the whole (changes to law or by-laws) disbands the committee or changes their duties and powers.

Sub-Committee
Sub Committees are a subset of committee members organized for a specific purpose. Although the sub-committee is bound to a single task or single activity and with limited time-frames, they continue or repeat.
Working Committees
A committee established accomplish a particular task or to oversee an ongoing area in need of control or oversight. These usually follow the set of objectives and strategies set for the year.
Task Forces
A task force is a temporary established to work on a single defined task or activity. The following will be created in 2010.
Serving on a committee
Your membership in the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce is greatly enhanced when you participate as a committee member. Your input into the Chamber’s decision-making process will ensure that your business needs will be addressed.
Each committee is generally charged with the following:
Standing Committees
- Community Relations Committee – The role of the committee is to enhance the relationship between the Chamber of Commerce and Community through communication and participation of related issues/ initiatives.

- Economic Development Committee – To actively recruit new business into the Tri-Cities while promoting business growth.

Co-Chair: Velvet Cates-Capell , Canstar Restorations
- Executive Committee – Executive Committee sits as an advisory to the Board of Directors. While the Board of Directors is the ultimate governing and decision-making body, the Executive may take action as necessary subject to subsequent approval by the Board of all decisions.

- Finance and Audit Committee – The Committee oversees the financial processes such as reporting, internal control systems and the internal and external audit functions of the Chamber of Commerce.

- Marketing and Events Committee – This committee is charged with developing an ongoing marketing strategy to promote Chamber accomplishments while increasing participation to events through marketing and promotions.

- Policy Committee – The development of Chamber policies for Board adoption and the implementation of those policies once adopted.

- Youth Entrepreneurial Committee - The development of youth in becoming future business leaders and Chamber members by providing education, support and networking skills in return for their volunteerism.

- Transportation Committee – To discuss, develop, enhance, educate and recommend on all modes of transportation affecting the Tri-Cities.�

Task Force
- IT Review – To determine a cost-effective, user friendly, integrated solution for the organization.
