Who: The Giggle Dam What: The best kept entertainment secret in the Lower Mainland. Where: 2616 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam For 12 years, ‘The DAM’ has been the best kept entertainment secret in the Lower Mainland. Think of a mind-blowing, 4-hour blend of politically incorrect, interactive, live musical comedy with an eight-piece live show band and live Vegas-worthy celebrity impersonations… with dinner! We’re different. We’re the only one. And we have way too much fun! The Giggle Dam was opened in 2001 by two former entertainers, Mark Freibe & Sheila Sharma (husband and wife) from Maz & Me’s dinner theatre in Poco. They loved what they did and, with a hope and a prayer, opened the Dam when Maz & Me’s closed down. The Tri-Cities has been home to both theatres since 1988 and we get a wonderful cross section of customers from the local area, the Fraser Valley, and the Lower Mainland.
Our best kept secret is the Giggle Dam itself. We break down the ‘fourth wall’. It’s completely interactive. We meet every person in the building before the show and INCLUDE our audience. Every cast member is a triple threat, actor, singer, musician, comedian, dancer etc. and the talent is worthy of any stage. People seem to underestimate that because I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard “I can’t believe THIS is in Poco”. We hope to see you at The DAM soon, or on our DAM cruise! Interested? Check out our website to learn more. damcruise.ca The Giggle Dam team |
